Alcohol Content: 4.2%
Colour: Deep Golden
Bitterness: 30 IBUs
Beer Type: Light Bitter with Bay Infusion
Named after the English 17th century herbalist. Culpeper claimed many benefits from taking Bay; it “resisteth witchcraft very potently, as also all the evils old Saturn can do the body of man”.
Culpeper’s Elixir, has a strong scent of bay and a rich smooth flavour from a very small addition of liquorice root and molasses. Although this beer contains hops, it harks back to the Old English pre-hop era of ale, when herbs and spices were used to flavour our alcoholic drinks.
We believe that the use of bay is completely innovative, having never before encountered it in beer!

What is Ale?

Alcohol Content: 4,2%
Colour: Rich Golden
Bitterness: 28 IBUs
Beer Type: Elderflower
Masses of Elderflowers late boiled to retain their aroma and freshness. The effect of this big charge is one of intensity. Underpinned by American Amarillo hops (used in a delicate way to complement and enhance), the aroma is reminiscent of an English country lane in full bloom. Flowers and herbs hit the palate in this rich golden beer.

Alcohol Content: 7.2%
Colour: Pale
Bitterness: 72 IBUs
Beer Type: Pale Stout
White Stout is the ultimate beer in our “White Range”. While the word “stout” has come to mean a dark beer, the original meaning was strong and true. Before the porter brewers commandeered the word to mean a stout, or strong, porter it referred to any strong beer.
We have rehabilitated and improved the genre. White Stout is a very pale, full bodied, strong beer. American columbus hops are used throughout to give massive floral and resinous character. A pale body supports perfumy, spicy hop flavours and aromas. Intense bitterness is balanced by forest fruits and mango.
At a strength of 7.2% this is a true stout. Indeed, few modern stouts of any colour are true to the word for strong.
