Celtic

Alcohol Content: 4.2%

Colour: Red

Bitterness: 28 IBUs

Beer Type: Irish Red Ale

One of our first ever brews, brought back to celebrate 30 years of brewing. Celtic won Durham CAMRA Beer of the Festival in our first year of brewing in 1994 and again in 1995, putting us on the map as a new brewery. A traditional Irish red ale with crystal and dark malts creating bready and burnt toffee flavours. Complimented with traditional Northdown and Fuggles hops. Fresh berry and spice mingle with earthiness in this well balanced ale.

Dunkel

Alcohol Content: 4.5%

Colour: Dark Brown

Bitterness: 22 IBUs

Beer Type: Dark Lager

Wow! A perfect balanced Bavarian style dark lager.  The malt base is extremely complex with Munich, Vienna, Aromatic and Carafa 3.  These create the perfect balance of bready, malt flavours with chocolate notes but not heavy roast.  Hops are traditional European varieties with low bitterness to just balance out the malt base.

Rich and malty with seven different malts creating a complex base with biscuit and dried fruit notes.  A little sweet orange peel accentuates the bergamot notes produced by the Lubelski hops late in the boil.  Balanced and smooth.
