Honey & Date Wheat Beer

Limited edition brewed to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. The oldest beer recipe in history. Created from the Sumerian Hymn to Ninkasi circa 1750 BC. Ninkasi was the Sumerian goddess of brewing and beer. We’ve used local Humble Bee honey, dates and spices; creating a beer some have described as liquid banana bread. The aroma is an alchemy of spices that would have been available in ancient Mesopotamia.

Contains water, barley (gluten), wheat (gluten), date syrup, honey, spices, lactose (milk), hops and yeast.

A limited edition rich tawny ale fermented with Belgian yeast. It’s all about the malt, with melanoidin, Munich and crystal malts creating dried fruit, brown sugar and sherry accents. Layers of flavour with gentle marmalade bitterness from Fuggles and Target hops. Sit and savour!

Rum Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

A limited edition of just 1300 bottles. Each small batch of Imperious is Temptation, our Imperial Russian Stout, aged in oak barrels. This year we have chosen Rum. Ready now but will continue to mature and improve over the next 3 to 5 years. Bottled Autumn 2023.

Temptation Cake Recipe

Formerly known as White Stout. We have tweaked the recipe and increased the hop hit. The new take on this classic Durham beer deserved a new name. Alabaster - strong and pale.

Large amounts of aromatic Columbus hops over a full pale malt base. Aromas of citrus and black pepper. High bitterness is balanced by the full and rich malt body.

Suitable for vegans. 500ml bottle. Bottle-conditioned.

It's our best selling beer for a reason. Simple pale malts provide a base for a complex blend of hops. The colour is very pale with lemon citrus and floral flavours, progressing to a spicy mouthfeel and a clean earthy bitterness in the finish.

Citra hops in the aroma mingle with the smoked malt to create peach in the aroma and flavour. A full velvety body develops into a soft marmalade bitterness helped along by a shot of coriander.

Golden Belgian Tripel.  Maris Otter malt and American centennial hops magically combine to give an aroma of lychees and peaches with a full fruit body of spicy orange and coriander. Warming high alcohols finish with smooth caramel.

We've collaborated with our wonderful friends at Durham Coffee roastery who have created a large batch of double strength coffee using their Castle Blend espresso beans.  Intense rich and fruity coffee combines with a complex malt base with biscuit, roast and caramel notes.

A classic Belgian saison. Showcasing US Zappa hops, 100% neomexicanus aroma hop that came from the mountains of New Mexico. Evolving independently, Zappa, has developed its own rebellious aroma and unique flavour characteristics. Passionfruit, mint, spice, tropical fruits and fruity pebbles. A perfect summer thirst-quencher.

Limited edition brandy barrel aged Belgian Tripel. Rich and luxurious boozy aroma of candied peel and brandy. Dried fruit and oak notes are lifted by lighter fruit. Orange, peach and apricot throughout. A dry finish with a subtle hint of spice.
