We are re-naming our core best bitter, Hedleyhope, as Lambton Worm, giving the beer a stronger connection to County Durham and one of the region’s best-known legends. The change also ties in perfectly with our sponsorship of the Durham City Dragons at Durham City Rugby Football Club. The Old English word wyrm means dragon, usually a legless one, which seems rather fitting, as the girls may well end up a little legless themselves after their match day pints, sponsored by Durham Brewery!

A traditional rich amber English bitter. It’s all about the balance. Maris Otter malt is combined with Amber, Crystal and Oats to form a rich, biscuit backbone for the hops to sit. Robust peppery and grapefruit bitterness is tempered with a hint of tropical fruit and sweet orange with soft fruit yeast esters. A modern take on a heritage beer style we should be proud of. Allergens barley, oats & wheat, Gluten removed  – LOW GLUTEN.
