The recipe is based upon an original beer made by Whitakers of Halifax in 1937.
A smooth well balanced traditional ruby bitter. Five different malts including crystal and amber create a rich toffee/cherry flavour. Earthy Fuggles and Goldings hops combine in a smooth English character with hints of kiwifruit and toffee.
Contains Water, Barley (gluten), Wheat (gluten), hops and yeast. Vegan Friendly.500ml bottle

A traditional rich amber English bitter. It’s all about the balance. Maris Otter malt is combined with Amber, Crystal and Torrefied Wheat to form a rich, biscuit backbone for the hops to sit. Robust peppery and grapefruit bitterness is tempered with a hint of tropical fruit and sweet orange with soft fruit yeast esters. A modern take on a heritage beer style we should be proud of. Allergens barley & wheat, Gluten removed – LOW GLUTEN.

Legend tells how the Devil offered to help build Durham Cathedral. He planned to make foundations of rock so crumbly than when thousands of people crowded into the Cathedral for its opening, the building would collapse, killing everyone inside. He dropped one of the stones in Castle Eden dene and it lays there still.

Rich and malty with seven different malts creating a complex base with biscuit and dried fruit notes. A little sweet orange peel accentuates the bergamot notes produced by the Lubelski hops late in the boil. Balanced and smooth. Allergens barley & wheat, Gluten removed – LOW GLUTEN.
